Get voting for Maritime Festival

The Mayor of Derry Councillor Brenda Stevenson leads the celebrations as the news came through that the Derry-Londonderry-Doire Clipper Yacht won the New York to Derry leg of the round the World Yacht Race. It is the first time that one of the yachts has won a race returning to its home city. Mayor of Derry, Councillor Brenda Stevenson, has urged the public to show their support for the Legenderry Maritime Festival by voting it for Best Event/Best Festival Experience Awards at the Northern Ireland Tourism Awards 2015.

“This is a hugely significant accolade and we are delighted we have been shortlisted,” said Colr. Stevenson.

“The winner will be decided by an online public vote. Voting is now open and will remain open until March 23. Please encourage your family, friends, colleagues, customers and networks to get voting on your behalf!
