Mixed Media Installation artists Heather Wilson will facilitate a practical workshop in The Craft Village this Monday, August 22, from 12pm-4pm.

The workshop is a feature of ‘You Make My Monday’, where local and visiting artists have been delivering workshops and demonstrations every Monday as part of August Craft Month organised by Derry City Council and Craft NI.

Living and working in Belfast, Heather’s work combines quality craftsmanship and aesthetics with a highly conceptual approach, often belying the perceptions and blurring the labels that are set up between fine and applied art.

Mary Blake from Derry City Council Development Department is delighted to welcome Heather to the You Make My Monday series

“Heather has been really active in the arts and crafts sector and has been involved in many local and national craft fairs, conferences, workshops and exhibitions.

Heather is very interested in helping others develop ideas and practice and anyone with an interest or enthusiasm for developing their craft should not miss the opportunity of this workshop.”

You can find out more about Heather Wilson’s work by visiting www.heatherwilson.eu.

Workshops are free; booking is advisable but not essential. For more info, contact Elaine Griffin at Derry City Council on: 71. 365151.
