As Christmas approaches, the Donegal Hospice has launched its 2016 calendar and Christmas cards, all of which raise funds for vital services across Inishowen and the county.

The Donegal Hospice offers a range of indispensible support to men, women and their families across the peninsula, including palliative care, daycare, homecare and bereavement support, all overseen by a dedicated team of professionals.

The hospice - and its medical and nursing staff - hold a special place in the heart of many people in Inishowen, as they have offered physical, emotional and spiritual care when they need it most.

Fundraising is a vital support in providing free hospice care to the people of Donegal and Inishowen, who have responded in kind over many years. Many fundraising events have taken place in the peninsula in recent years, for which the team are grateful.

The calendar and Christmas cards are a key part of this initiative and all support is very much appreciated.

The 2016 calendar, which features stunning scenes from around Donegal, would make the perfect Christmas present and 100 percent of all the proceeds go towards hospice care. The same amount is also donated from the festive Christmas cards. Both of these are available to purchase at the hospice itself or at selected stores across the county.

Additionally, this Christmas, any person who makes a donation to the hospice in lieu of a present or in memory of a loved one, will receive a beautiful decoration to adorn their tree. The pretty gold Christmas tree, engraved with the hospice motto of ‘Together We Care’ is a thoughtful way to remember and celebrate a person or persons who cannot be here to celebrate the festive season but who will always be loved and remembered. These can also be obtained at the hospice itself when a donation is made.
