Hoping a hard rain's not going to fall . .

Excitement is mounting in Moville as crowds in flock for the country's only DylanFest.

From as early as Wednesday morning there was a buzz in the Inishowen village as fans started arriving in their droves for the annual event.

Businesses, residents and tourists alike have all been eagerly awaiting this year's festival, which is the third of its kind,. There's a weekend of music in pubs across the town, celebrating Dylan.

And this year the popular festival has even attracted the attention of a film production crew..

Jacs Productions - who made the film ParkLife, in Moville - have arrived to start recording the big event.

As well as filming the festival they will be showcasing Moville itself, showing what's on offer in the town.

Organisers of the festival have spoken to Dylan's people, who are aware of the annual event in the peninsula, and it's hoped Dylan himself will even get to see the film, titled 'Stuck Inside of Moville'.

The DylanFest has been discussed by John Creedon on the Dave Fanning Show and news of it and the performers have appeared in Ireland's top music magazine HotPress.

Organiser Gerry McLaughlin told the Journal: "I'm looking forward to the concert in the picturesque grounds of the hostel at Gulladuff House as the setting is made for an outdoor festival. The film crew should get some great footage there as the crowd stand on Ireland's oldest bridge, dating from the 6th century, watching the performers sing their Dylan songs.

"I'm also looking forward to hearing Marianne McEvoy sing in Rosatos on Saturday night to see if she is as good a singer and performer as her sister Eleanor".

Gerry Greene, who has travelled from Paisley, Scotland, for the festival said: "This is my third DylanFest in Moville and if this one is anywhere near as good as the first two then everybody is going to have a great time. I'm looking forward to seeing Steph Buhe from France play again and to enjoy the warm welcome that you always get in Moville."
