The annual swimming lessons at Portmore Pier, Malin Head will take place on week starting Monday, July 9th, with registration at 9am that morning.

Malin IFA Dance will be held in the Malin Hotel on Saturday July 7th. Music by the Country Boys. Porceeds will be shared by the Funny Feet Fund and Farm Self Help Africa.

Enrolment forms are now available from Scoil Cholmcille, Glengad for pupils joining the school in September this year. If your child is joining ring 0749379211 for an enrolment form or call to the school as soon as possible.

The blessing of the graves in Malin Parish will take place in Aughaclay on Sunday 19th August at 3pm and Lagg Cemetery at 5pm on the same day.

Good Morning Service County Donegal is launching a new project the ‘Friendly Face Befriending Scheme’, covering the Inishowen Primary care area. Volunteers from all over Inishowen are urgently needed so if you have a few hours to spare each week we would be very happy to hear from you. Malin GAA : The senior side were robbed of a valuable point in Bundoran on Sunday, the referee giving the final score 0-17 to 0-16 to Bundoran when everyone in the ground, including both sets of players, had the score at 0-16 each. Well done to Sean O Neill and Oisin McGonagle who came 2nd and 4th respectively in the final of the Donegal Primary Schools Skills Competition held in Glenswilly on Saturday evening. Ballet classes take place in the GAA centre at the following times on Saturdays 3-4yrs from 10.45-11.45, 5-6yrs from 12.15-1.15 and the 7-9 and 10yrs groups from 1.30-2.30pm.

The 2012 Cul Camp, this year sponsored by Kellogg’s, takes place the week Monday 16th to Friday 20th July. Prices are 55 euro for 1st child, 45 euro for 2nd child and 40 euro for 3rd and subsequent children in a household. There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The sequence drawn was 3,7,6,1,2,5,4. The 50 euro winner was Ryan McLaughlin, Lematuder, Culkeeny, Malin with the 20 euro sellers prize going to Culkeeny P.O.
