Local charity HURT (Have Your Tomorrows) has issued a call-out to local men and women to join their fundraising charity walk on September 12 at 11am.

The Derry charity, which have been nominated as Sainsburys charity of the year, have organised the novelty ‘Walk A Mile In My Shoes’ event to highlight issues around addiction.

The walk starts at the Peace Bridge and finishes at Sainsburys, and there will be face painting and balloons for the kids.

Men and women taking part can walk a mile in heels, and come in fancy dress for the colourful event.

There will be prizes for the best dressed at the event.

Entry to the event is open to over 16s only, and the closing date for entries is September 4.
