Starting from Simpson’s Car Park at 3pm, the parade proceeded to the Diamond, down Bridge Street, onto Church Road and then returned to the Diamond via Station Road and Malin Street, before ending at Simpson’s.

There was also live music and entertainment in the Diamond from 2.30pm and an exhibition made up of the entries received from the photographic and children’s colouring competition.

Many clubs and organisations joined the parade on the day and made it a real celebration of community involvement on a sunny Easter Monday.
