A preliminary inquest hearing into the death of a 38 years-old Derry man who was shot dead at his Prehen home in February 2009, is to be held in Belfast next Wednesday.
Jim McConnell was shot and fatally injured by two masked men at his home in Woodland Avenue, Prehen on 11 February 2009.
The INLA in Derry later claimed responsibility for the shooting and said the 38 year-old had been involved in the drug trade.
It was the last killing carried out by the INLA before the group declared its armed campaign was over.
In July last year a 48-year-old man was arrested in Dungiven in connection with Mr McConnell’s killing, but was later released.
The preliminary inquest hearing into Mr McConnell’s death will take place at Mays Chambers, Belfast.
