Irish Night in Resource Centre

An Irish Night, Ceili and Old Time Dancing will be held in St Johnston and Carrigans Family Resource Centre next Friday, 7 March with music will by Ceili Time. Dancing from 9pm to midnight and a supper will be served. Admission €7 including supper and a raffle .

The winner of the 50/50 Bonus Ball Fundraiser of 22 February 2014 was Victor Byrne. Winning number was 13. Congratulations Victor. Why not buy a line? It is only € and next week it could be you. The Bonus Ball is a fundraiser for the Centre. Stepping Stones Playgroup will be holding its Enrolment Day on Monday, 10 March 2014 from 12.30 to 2.30 pm. To enrol your child, please bring along their PPS Number, Birth Certificate and immunisation details.

There are two Craft Classes available in the Resource Centre. The Tuesday Craft Group and the Wednesday Craft Group. Forever Crafts meets every Tuesday 1 pm to 3 pm in the Old Playgroup, Church Lane, St Johnston. Various crafts are enjoyed and shared along with some tea and craic. The Wednesday Craft Group meets every Wednesday 8 pm to 10 pm. We attempt and practice many different kinds of crafts. New members are most welcome.

The St. Johnston and Carrigans Family Resource Centre has a Clothes Bank at the rear of the building.  We encourage local people to use the bank, which allows the centre to raise funds throughout the year.  All donations of clothes, curtains, sheets, towels, blankets and shoes would be greatly appreciated.  Support your local charity. Swap and drop your old Books: We have a table in the reception area of the St Johnston and Carrigans Family Resource Centre where you can take a book or leave off your old ones.

The book ‘An Open Door, Stories from St Johnston and Carrigans Family Resource Centre’ can be purchased in the Centre and in many of local businesses. It costs €10 a copy and all proceeds are in aid of the centre and its work. The feedback about the book is excellent as its stories and photographs help many people wander down memory lane.
