James McClean donates to Higgins family as #rooneyforryan campaign begins
Last night James McClean pledged £1,000 to the family of Ryan Higgins from Creggan, who died tragically yesterday afternoon.
Just last week the West Brom star donated to the family of two year-old Ronan McGavigan who was knocked down and killed on the Lone Moor Road.

Local business man Mohammed Ali also organised a fundraising night last night to help the Higgins family.
One person wrote on facebook: “Love being part of the Derry community because in times like this when everyone is there for each other and everyone comes together, makes me even prouder seeing James McClean donate £1,000 to help Ryan’s family and Mohamed Ali helping everyone out in a time of need, people like you are a credit to the city.”
Meanwhile a campaign has begun asking Wayne Rooney to tweet about Ryan Higgins.
Ryan was a huge Manchester United fan.
