Jane Russell and the Derry baby on BBC Radio 4

The story of a Derry baby baby sensationally adopted by Hollywood movie star Jane Russell has featured in a BBC Radio 4 documentary.

Thomas Waterfield was an infant in 1951 when his biological mother, Hannah ‘Florrie’ Kavanagh, originally from Springtown Camp in Derry, allowed film star and 1950s sex symbol Jane Russell to adopt him.
