One of the highlights of the festival will include a charity open air concert at the Playtrail’s Ampitheatre in Belmont on Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.

Festival favourite the Palais Swing Band will share the stage with talented young local Kevin Roache as well as numerous other young musicians.

All proceeds from the £5 admission tickets will go towards Ardnashee Special School and College.

The event has been organised by the school.

The concert follows a successful fundraising Craft Fayre at the school last month.

The fayre, which saw the children from Ardnashee making and selling their own goods alongside other stall holders, resulted in over £1,000 being raised for the school.

A second fayre will be held on November 15th this year at the school.

Prior to this, on June 27th, Paddy Nash and the Happy Enchiladas will perform at the Ampitheatre in a charity gig to raise funds for the school.
