Joe Lusby to retire from Trust role

The Deputy Chief Executive of the Western Trust is to step down the ‘Journal’ can reveal.

At yesterday’s meeting of the Western Trust Board meeting chairman Gerard Guckian revealed that Joe Lusby has notified the Trust of his intention to retire in March.

Mr Lusby has been with the Western Trust since 1974.

“He has given 42 years of service in the Western area,” said Mr Guckian.

“I would like to acknowledge the enormous contribution he has made to the Western Trust throughout his career.”

Joe was the Chief Executive of the former Foyle Trust before taking up his Deputy Chief Executive role with the Trust in January 2007.

The Deputy Chief Executive’s Office supports the Chief Executive’s Office in carrying out its corporate functions. The office also holds a senior management leadership role for the southern sector of the Trust.
