Is NI a nation?

Sir, Is the Six Counties/Northern Ireland a nation?

There is a current dogmatic belief in unionism that the United Kingdom is made up of the nations of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. How true is this?

For a secularist who holds that political analysis and discussion should deal exclusively with reason, logic and observation, the dogmatic claim that Northern Ireland is a nation is open to debate.

While the issue is a complex constitutional one, an at-length in-depth constitutional analysis of the issue can be found in the blog: - www.blogstoday.co.uk/irishproblemsolved.blog

Yours,

Michael Gillespie,
