Maybe the BIRA . . .

Sir,

So there we have it. A couple of weeks after the amalgamation of the I Cannot Believe it’s not Butter IRA (RIRA), the Really Angry Armed Derrymen (RAAD) and maybe or maybe not Oh Not H’Eireann (ONH), we have seen the first successful operations of NIRA, or is it IRAN?

Persons unknown putting young people out of Derry for reasons unknown in reaction to events unknown and with the support of communities unknown. If it wasn’t so sad it would be laughable. Young people, their parents and their extended families terrified of the knock on the door by masked men who answer to no one but themselves.

If the PSNI were at this kind of carry- on there would be thousands on the streets and calls for Sinn Fein to resign from everything including the crib. Of course, since it’s Ireland’s self-appointed, self-proclaimed and selfish new liberators, we hear a deafening wall of silence and a few malicious comments on the internet.

Then again, if the plan is to free Ireland one bonfire at a time, I suppose they’re off to a good start.

Yours, Brandywell Reader
