Politicians clash over hunger strike film
Strange that Mr. Campbell wasn't on the airwaves after Rangers 'fans' wrecked Manchester and almost killed a police officer. Campbell is simply playing politics with this issue. Whether he likes it or not, Bobby Sands is revered throughout the island of Ireland by the Nationalist community. The time is right to debate the legacy of the hunger strikers, led by Bobby Sands. Campbell and his unionist cronies insist that we respect their history and their tradition, yet they fail to recognise that the hunger strikers played a pivotal role in our history. Their defiance inspired a generation, not just a generation of violence but a generation who stood up to British tyranny in their own way.

Good Riddance! Let the free market fundamentalists of this world froth at the mouth, but let this be the beginning of the end of Raytheon globally. Instead, let state subsidies support sustainable jobs in Derry. Some co-operative business seed money? A plant for developing computer-based teaching aides for autistic children? A specialist cancer treatment and research centre for the north west of Ireland?

They definitely have good taste. Appearing over the Prehen Woods and hovering there for a while. What a beautiful part of the city. Definitely know where to stop and have a scope around. Smart guys. Probably checking out the red squirrel community or possible landing site for a future visit. They're welcome anytime. Of course no blue bags or drinking in public.
