Supermarket Lidl is recalling its ‘Deluxe’ Crayfish Soup with Saffron from all store across Ireland because of food poisoning fears.

The supermarket said : “During internal testing, microbiological abnormalities were identified for this product. As a health risk cannot be excluded, the manufacturer has chosen to recall the above mentioned product.

“Because of the possible health risk, consumers should not consume the affected product. No other varieties of soup from this manufacturer are affected.

“The product can be returned in all Lidl stores for a full refund. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
