The family of young Derry woman are preparing to bring their baby home, after making a heartbreaking decision.
The 22-year-old, who works as a physiotherapist in Singapore, collapsed while on holiday on Friday.
Her family flew to Indonesia at the weekend to be by her bedside in hospital.
Writing on Facebook on Tuesday night, Lisa’s mum Sharon said: “We have been very busy today Lisa has a few more tests tomorrow morning by our request, then will have to decide when we turn Lisa support off. Then we will bring our baby home. God bless you all and thanks for your support and kind and loving words xxx.”
More than £16,000 has now been raised online to pay for the medical expenses of Derry woman Lisa Orsi who is in hospital in Indonesia but more may be needed to help with bills.
The fundraising website was set up Lisa’s close friend Sinead McElhinney who said Lisa “would do anything for anyone”.
The family has been overwhelmed by the support of Derry people. They allowed the Derry Journal to share the video of her surprise visit home at Christmas so everyone could see how much joy she has brought to their lives.
