As the Philippines battles to recover from last month’s devastating typhoon, one group of caring Derry schoolchildren held a special indoor Charity Football Match at the Templemore Sports Complex to raise funds for those desperately in need. Thanks to their kindness and generosity, the local kids raised £150 on the day which they donated to the Philippines Typhoon Charity Appeal.

Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines on November 8 and was one of the most intense tropical storms to ever make landfall. Countless people lost their lives, and hundreds of thousands were forced from their homes and now urgently need emergency shelter, clean water and food.
