The Derry Republican Graves Calendar 2014 has been launched in the city.
The calendar features a collection of photographs from republican commemorations held in the city over the past year, as well as images from the past.
It is produced annually by the Derry Republican Graves association, the organisation which looks after monuments and graves of republicans in the city.
The money raise through the sale of the calendar will be used for the upkeep of such monuments throughout Derry.
It was launched by Philomena McLaughlin, sister of IRA volunteer Ethel Lynch who was killed in an explosion at a flat in Crawford Square in December 1974, and by Sinn Féin councillor Colly Kelly. This month marks the 39th anniversary of Ms Lynch’s death.
Colr. Kelly encouraged local people to buy the calendar to support the work of the Derry Republican Graves Association throughout the year.
The calendar is on sale now at Peadar O’Donnell’s Bar and Tracys Bar, Waterloo Street, Maileys, Lecky Road, PJ News Agents, William Street, Pennywise Bargain Shop, Ráth Mór Shopping Centre and at Sinn Féin offices in Ráth Mór, Shantallow and Spencer Road.
