A man has received hospital treatment after being attacked when a gang of teens surrounded him in Derry.
The 24 year-old man was approaching the steps at the fields between Glen Road and Lower Nassau Street in the early hours of Sunday when he was surrounded by about eight males, thought to be in their late teens. One of them headbutted him. He required hospital treatment for an injury to his face.
Police are investigating the incident and have appealed for anyone who witnessed it to contact them.
“His attacker is described as being of medium build, about 6ft tall, with medium length dark hair short at the back and sides, wearing a zippered black tracksuit top. He spoke with a local accent,” a PSNI spokesperson said.
