50th celebration plans for St. Mary's
St. Mary's NS Malin Head will be open fifty years next year. A meeting will take place in the school on Tuesday next, 31st. March at 8pm to begin organizing a 50th celebration. Everyone is welcome.

A Blood Donation Clinic will be held in Carndonagh Community School next Wednesday April 1st from 3-4.45pm and 7-9.30pm and on Thursday April 2nd from 2-4.45pm and 7-9.30pm.

A great new bus services have been announced by Inishowen Rural Transport at the Inishowen Development Partnership. From March 9, a bus will leave Inishowen every Monday at 6am to arrive in Letterkenny in time to connect with buses going to Dublin at 7am. It is hoped this will facilitate students and others who travel to Dublin regularly. A bus will also leave from Letterkenny to Inishowen between 8pm and 9pm (approx) on Monday and again on Friday evening. It is anticipated this will suit students returning home from college for the weekend. Booking is essential. A social in aid of Donegal Hospice will take place in Hillhead Church Hall, Carndonagh to-night Friday March 27th. Music is by the Country Boys. Tickets are 6euro including supper. Host families in Inishowen are being sought to give children from Chernobyl a three week holiday in July. Do you think you could give a child from Chernobyl a recuperating holiday? Weekly activities are organised and translators are available at all times. To take a child out of a contaminated area even for a week can boost their immune system up to one year. The Simple Living Fair will take place in the Colgan Hall, Carndonagh, on Saturday, March 28 from 2pm to 5pm. Admission is free. There will be live music along with a wide variety of arts and crafts, organic produce and free workshops.

A trip is being organised for a weekend break in Scotland to visit the Highland shows and day trip to Edinburgh city which will take place from the 26 June to 28 June. The Parish is organizing a pilgrimage to Fatima from 18th-25th June 2009. If anyone is interested please contact Fr. Crowley. This pilgrimage presents us with the opportunity to visit Fatima for three days and the city of Lisbon the birthplace of St. Anthony of Padua. Also four days in Estoril seaside resort. The cost is 809euro for flights, meals and transfers for 7 nights/8days. Savings scheme will begin soon. Women's competitive football has resumed on Wednesdays at 8pm and on Saturdays at 6pm at the GAA club. Training for U14 girls takes place every Wednesday between 5pm and 6pm.

The club is running a charity dance in the Malin Hotel tomorrow night with music by Shunie Crampsie. Tickets are 5 euro each and all proceeds go to Carndonagh Hospital, all support for this worthy cause is appreciated.
There was no winner of this weeks lotto. The sequence drawn was 6,7,1,4,2,5,3. The 50 euro prize was won by Gerard Fildara, Culdaff with the 20euro sellers prize going to McClean's Bar, Malin. This weekend's jackpot is 700 euro and as always we thank the local community for its continued support.
