Adams and senior SF figures at Strabane event

Sinn Fein MP Pat Doherty has urged the people of Strabane to use the opportunity to speak directly with Gerry Adams and other senior Sinn Fein figures on the political, social, and economic issues that are affecting them at a local, regional or national level.

The public meeting will be held at 8pm on Sunday night in Fountain Street Community Centre. This is the second of nine such public meetings being held across the six counties, with Adams, Bairbre de Brn MEP, Martina Anderson, Executive Minister Gerry Kelly and Seanad Senator Pearse Doherty.

Mr. Doherty said: "At the outset of the meeting Sinn Fein will be presenting our political analysis about the situation 10 years on from the signing of the Good Friday Agreement, one year on from the restoration of the political institutions and 8 years before the 100th Anniversary of the Easter 1916 Rising." he said.

Engage

Mr. Doherty added that this will be followed by a Question and Answer session where locals can discuss issues affecting them.

"I hope that as many local people as possible come along and avail of the opportunity to engage directly with senior party figures on the full range of political, social and economic issues be they at a local, regional or national level," he said.
