Derry’s district judge has granted an anonymity order in a drugs case for the second time this week.

Judge Barney McElholm granted the order in the case of a 21-year-old man accused of possessing methadone and cannabis with intent to supply.

The man, who cannot be named or have his address printed as a result of the order, is further accused of simple possession of the class B drug on June 11.

An investigating officer told Derry Magistrate’s Court she believed she could connect the accused to the charges.

He was released on continuing bail and will appear in court again at a later date.
