Jailed for disorderly behaviour
A 21-year-old who continued to offend whilst the subject of five suspended sentences has been jailed for six months.
Niall Anthony Patrick Waterkamp, whose address was given as Strand Foyer on court papers, pleaded guilty to three charges of disorderly behaviour, theft, possessing cannabis and obstructing police.
The offences were committed between July 20 and December 11, last year.
One of the disorderly behaviour charges relates to an incident in Tesco when Waterkamp was found to have stolen a bottle of vodka.
Jailing Waterkamp, District Judge Barney McElholm said while the offences were not high level the 21-year-old “has a drink and or drug problem he doesn’t seem to confront. Until he does so he is going to keep getting into trouble”.
