Man denies burglary and assault charges

A 29-year-old man has denied threatening to kill a woman during an alleged incident in her home.

Kevin Martin Ward, of Sheriffs Glen, denies further charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on the complainants husband and assaulting her daughter.

He denies a further charged of burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm.

The offences allegedly occurred at an address in Laburnum Terrace on November 27, last year.

Derry Crown Court heard the trial is expected to last between four to five days and had intially been listed for October 15.

However, the court was told the investigating officer in the case was not available for that date and the trial was put back to November 12.

Ward was remanded in custody and will appear in court again in November.
