Man denies causing woman’s death

A man has appeared in court accused of causing the death of a Magherafelt woman by driving without due care and attention.

Brian McCauley, of Beechwood Avenue, Derry, denied one charge of causing the death of Caoimhe Kerr driving without due care and attention on November 6, 2008.

Ms Kerr was fatally injured in an accident at the Castledawson Roundabout on that date.

Derry Crown Court was told the trial was listed for November 26.

McCauley (31) was released on continuing bail and will appear in court again next month.
