Art gallery plan for Linton's store

The Alley Theatre in Strabane is seeking local North West artists to showcase their work within a new bespoke gallery space scheduled to open in the town's Linton and Robinson store.

The new exhibition space and gallery guide has been made possible by a recent award from the Arts & Business organisation, in recognition of the support Linton and Robinson has made within the local community in terms of arts development and support for the Alley Theatre.

The gallery will allow for a selection of pieces to go on display from up to six local artists.

Joe Barber, store manager at Linton and Robinson, said: “This is an amazing opportunity for local artists and craftsmen to display their pieces to the art buying public, whilst allowing our customers the exclusive opportunity to purchase a beautiful piece of artwork. Not only will the artwork make a wonderful feature for your home or business, but it can also be seen as an investment, as the artists’ work should increase in value over the coming years.

“It also fits very well with our existing Interior Design Service which offers our customers expert help and advice from our experienced design team."

Mr Barber added: “We are now looking for artists to submit an application to exhibit their work within the new Linton and Robinson exhibition space and be included in our new gallery sales guide. The gallery will have a grand opening on Friday May 29th, however submissions for entry must be entered by April 17th.”

Artist submission packs can be collected from the Linton and Robinson customer service desk at Abercorn Square, Strabane, Tel: 028 7138 4920.
