Banbridge farmers get together

IN 1934 Banbridge Farming Society organised what was described as a 'lightening' bazaar, formally opened by Lady Elizabeth Meade.

Miss Muriel Younge presented Lady Meade with a bouquet.

Sir Edward Archdale was in the chair and Society President Mr. T. Wallace, welcomed guests, noting that the society was almost the oldest of its kind in Northern Ireland.

Though it had got into debt in recent years, he said, it was in no way due to any lack of interest on the part of the society, its officials or committee.
