A flag protest is planned for Derry tonight as loyalists say they will “bring this country to a standstill”.
Organised on social media site Facebook, the protests, now in their third week after Belfast City Council’s decision to remove the Union flag from City Hall, are planned for around 30 locations across the north.
The Facebook page calls on all “loyalists in Northern Ireland....to bring this place to a standstill and the police wont be out on force as they would not have the numbers.”
Among the locations listed is Derry’s Glendermott Road.
