DPP public meeting

Compared with the same months last year, (April 2011 December 2012) for the Limavady Borough Council area overall crime is down by 9%. Violent crime with injury is down by 26%, while burglary down by 34%, theft is up by 7%, drug offences are down by 29%. The 31% detection rate is one of the highest across Northern Ireland.

Limavady District Policing Partnership will hold its next meeting in publicon Wednesday 22nd February 2012 in Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre/Ionad Ealaíon agus Cultúir Ghleann na Ró, at 4pm.

At the meeting, the Area Commander will present his annual report relating to the crime statistics within the borough for the months of April 2012 – December 2012.

Members of the DPP will raise questions/issues with the Area Commander about this report and the discussion will focus on Policing within the Community particularly relating to the Dungiven area, contact with the Police and use of Police body cams.

There will be an opportunity for the public to engage in the discussion or to ask a member of the DPP to raise a question/issue on their behalf.
