Drove without a licence or insurance

A 20 year old Derry man, who drove without a licence or insurance, admitted at the city's Magistrate's Court this week he had been "incredibly foolish."

Christopher Kerr, of 34 Carrabane Walk was stopped by police at Drumleck Drive on August 13. He immediately ad-mitted the offences.

A defence solicitor told the court that Kerr had bought the car with the intention of taking lessons and doing the vehicle up and that on the day in question he had “taken a risk and driven to the shops”.

The solicitor said Kerr wished to assure the court that he would not do anything like this again.

He was disquali-fied from driving for four months and fined 200.
