First Communion congrats
Congratulations to the boys and girls from Scoil Naomh Bride who received their First Holy Communion last Saturday in the Sacred heart Church, Muff from Fr. John Farren.
They were: Sarah Brennan; Reece Cahill; Conan Carlin; Christopher Clingain; Eimhin Craig; Jack Butler McCarron; Caoimhe McCallion; Dylan McCauley; Caoimhe McColgan; Oran McFadden; Ciara McGeoghan; Cara McGonagle; Caoimhe McGonigal; Fearghal McKinney; Caoimhe O'Donnell; Andrea Ward. Congratulations to their teacher Mrs. Breege Faulkner who prepared the children for the Sacrament. The beautiful music in the Church was supplied by the Youth Choir. A lovely tea was provided by the parents of the School Committee.
School's Out Radioactive -Take 2 Teenage Non-alcohol Beach Party Disco is back due to popular demand in Quigley's Point Community Centre next Friday, June 19th. Doors open at 9.30pm and there'll be dancing until 12 midnight with DJs Tasty Tom and Aidan, Groovy Greg and Stephen. Admission 5 and only teenagers will be admitted, anyone under 13 will be turned away. Complete and utter madness, be there. There will also be an under 13s beach party to facilitate national school children at the same venue earlier that night from 7.30pm to 9pm. Admission 3. There will be ice-cream and refreshments on sale in aid on Downs Syndrome Ireland. Parents are asked to note that children must be collected no later than 9pm.

A fund-raising Cycle Race is organised to take place on June 14th leaving Callaghan Bar at 11 a.m. - Routine 1 - 46 kms, Route 2 - 27 kms - this is for the George Faulkner Memorial Cup. A warm welcome is extended to Garda Paul Mannion who has been transferred from Carndonagh to the Muff Station. We hope he has a pleasant stay in Muff.
Some tickets are still available for Garda Patrick Keaveney's retirement function at the Carlton Redcastle Hotel at 8.30 p.m. tonight (Friday, 12th June). Tickets for this event will cost 20 euro and this includes a full buffet followed by live entertainment with Liam Atcheson. The Altar Society intends to give Iskaheen Chapel an intensive clean on Saturday, 20th June. All help appreciated.
A grand variety concert will take place in St. Mary's Community Hall next Sunday, 14th June organised by the Roisin Brogan School of Music. The Programme will consist of a variety of entertainment from pupils, this will be followed by refreshments and finishing off with a ceili. This should prove to be a night full of entertainment to suit all ages. Proceeds from the event will go to Scoil Naomh Brid. Admission Adults 5 euro, children 2 euro. Time 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Your support for the concert would be much appreciated.
Community Bingo continues in the Hall every Saturday night at 9.15 p.m.
The Variety Market continues this Sunday in St. Mary's Community Hall - the Hall will be open for stall holders at 1 p.m. and for the public at 2 p.m.
The Youth choir CD will be on sale after all Masses in Muff and Iskaheen at the weekend. All proceeds going to Icare.
The numbers drawn in this week's Padraig GAA Lotto Draw were 1:4:2:5:3:7 and 6. There was no jackpot winner, however two runners-up prizes
of 50 euro went to Ally O'Neill and Cathal Doherty (Hela), Glentogher. Next weeks Jackpot will be 450 euro. there will be a table quiz in Foody's Lodge on Saturday, 13th June at 10 p.m.
The sports day take place at Ture on Sunday, 21st at 2.30 p.m. Everyone welcome to a full filled day of events.
