Footballers foil Parochial House break-in
'Community Alert' kicked into action recently when through the quick action of a group of footballers who were playing a match at the school pitch prevented a break-in at the Parochial House in Muff.
They heard glass breaking and on investigating discovered two men trying to gain entry to the house. They immediately alerted the Gardai and the culprits were apprehended and arrested on the spot. This is a shining example of how the public through awareness can help cut down on criminal activity in the area.
