Gardai investigate Clonmany motorbike crash

GARDAI in Carndonagh are currently investigating a motorbike crash which occurred in Clonmany last week.

The incident happened on Friday 27th January around 9.16pm on the main street in the village when a driver of a motorbike collided with a parked car.

The road had been closed for some time to preserve the scene and to allow for a full Gardai investigation into the accident.

The male motorcyclist was transferred to Letterkenny General Hospital where his injuries were initially thought to be very serious.

A spokesperson for Gardai in Buncrana said it was later learned the driver was in a “stable condition” and the road was re-opened and traffic went back to normal.

The garda appealed for witnesses who saw the incident on Friday evening to come forward and contact Carndonagh Gardai on 0749374109.
