INLA claim Creggan shooting

The INLA says it shot a 24 year-old man in Derry's Creggan Estate earlier this week.

In a call to the 'Journal,' a caller claiming to represent the INLA claimed responsibility for the shooting, which took place in a house at Carrickreagh Gardens, shortly after 11pm on Monday.

The 24 year-old victim was taken from an upstairs bedroom to the living room where he was shot in the knees and ankles by a group of armed and masked men.

He was later taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
