Keaveney-Taylor wedding
The wedding took place recently in Iskaheen Church of Orla Keaveney, daughter of Pat and Rosemary Keaveney, Aught and Pat Taylor, son of Susie and the late Patsy Taylor, Sappagh.
The bridesmaids were Orla's sisters, her twin Emer and Fionnuala Keaveney. The bestman was Paul's twin brother John Taylor and the groomsman was his best friend Sean Murray. The flower girl was Holly Roarty cousin of the bride. The reception was held in the Strand Hotel, Ballyliffin and the happy couple are currently on honeymoon in Orlando.
Don't forget the Muff School Reunion Ceili next Friday night, August 28th in St. Mary's Hall. Dancing fron 10pm-1am and admission is 5 euro, including supper.
Community Bingo every Saturday night in St. Mary's Community Hall at 9.15 p.m. Your continued support is appreciated.

As all the business regarding the Muff Festival has not yet been finalised a further meeting will take place next Tuesday 25th August in St. Mary's Community Hall at 8 p.m.
Winners in this weeks Parish Draw were : Ursula McLaughlin, Glackmore 300 euro; Liam Barrron, Glengad 200 euro; Gerard McDaid, Carnamoyle 100 euro.
Accord Marriage Preparation Workshops will take place on September: 18/19th and October 23rd/24th in the Thornhill Centre. Booking forms in the Parochial House.
Other activities taking place in the Thornhill Centre during September, October and November are: September 12-13th: Engaged Encounter weekend in preparation for marriage.
October/November: There will be a number of short and long courses in Pastoral Ministry, Liturgy, Scripture, Aspects of Faith and Personal Development.

At two recent shows our two ladies from the Muff ICA once again came up trumps regarding awards. Carol Lynch and Olive Parke gained between them 5, 1sts, 8 2nds, 2 rds, 1 4th and 6 5ths at Clonmany and 4 1sts, 3 2nds, 3 3rds at Tullamore. Olive also came 2nd at Tullamore in the All Ireland Hand Embroidery section sponsored by Roadstone, Dublin Ltd.
At the Culmore Horticultural Show recently Carol attained 10 1sts, 2 2nds, 2 rds and the Cup for having the most points in the craft section. Good show ladies.
Naomh Pdraig GAA -The numbers drawn in this weeks lotto draw were 2:7:4:1:6:5 and 3. There was no jackpot winner however 100 euro runner-up prize went to Kathleen McColgan. Next weeks jackpot will be 350 euro. The U13's League Campaign begins this Saturday 22nd August when they travel to Urris for a 11 a.m. throw-in.
