Letter from District Commander in the post

Local homes are to receive a personal letter from PSNI District Commander, Chief Superintendent Stephen Martin over the next few weeks.

The correspondence will go out to G District’s four policing areas – Foyle, Strabane, Limavady and Magherafelt.

The letter will accompany a leaflet containing an update from Chief Constable Matt Baggott and an overview of policing initiatives and successes in your local area.

This is the second update in relation to the Policing Commitments which were launched last year.

Chief Constable Baggott provides an update on how the Police Service of Northern Ireland is delivering. “Crime in Northern Ireland is currently at its lowest for 14 years, with the level of burglary and robbery also falling... We will confront serious crime whilst still being there to deal with day to day concerns or emergencies.

The leaflet will be delivered to each household over the coming weeks.
