Limavady workhouse features in BBC's NI's Most Haunted Buildings.

Limavady workhouse comes under the spotlight this week in a new BBC programme looking at some of NI's most haunted buildings.

Each week in 'NI's Greatest Haunts' a team of paranormal investigators respond to reports of unusual happenings in a given location. The location is of historical interest and people who either live or work there have had first hand experiences of things which can't simply be explained.

Psychic investigator Andy Matthews has, for 10 years, been communing with the spirits of the dead. He's joined by Marion Goodfellow, one of the UK's leading mediums and the Northern Ireland Paranormal Society (NIPS).

Together, using clairvoyance, historical research and an arsenal of high tech equipment, they find out if the reported hauntings can be logically explained or if there's something more to them. The series begins tomorrow night at 10.45pm.

Other buildings under investigation include Bellaghy Bawn.

"The six-part series made for BBC Northern Ireland by Coco Television is an entertaining and unusual mix, where real history meets compelling personal stories, investigation and offers unusual insights into the world of the paranormal," said a BBC spokesperson.

Hilary O'Donovan, producer of NI's Greatest Haunts, said: "We set out to make a series that would appeal to believers and non-believers alike. "

'NI's Greatest Haunts' is on tomorrow night on BBC One Northern Ireland at 10.45pm.
