Man (22) to stand trial over fatal crash

A 22-year-old man is to stand trial at Derry Crown Court accused of causing the death of a student by driving without due care and attention.

Kevin Michael Patrick Brolly, of Rannyglass, Dungiven, is further charged with being an uninsured driver causing the death of 21-year-old Claire Kelly and dangerous driving.

The offences allegedly occurred on December 11, last year between Main Street, Feeny, and Glenshane Road, Dungiven.

At Derry Magistrates Court, Brolly declined to say anything in answer to the charge or to call any witnesses.

He was released on continuing bail and will appear at the Crown Court for arraignment. .on October 16.
