Man from Derry dies in RTC

A 36-year-old Derry man has died in a road traffic accident in Co Tyrone.

Peter Fugill, from Kinsale Park in the Waterside, died in the early hours of Saturday.

He was the driver of a car that struck a verge about a mile from Newtownstewart on the Omagh road.

Mr Fugill was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

Police say they are keen to hear from anyone who saw the crash or saw the silver BMW car on the road beforehand.
