Man remanded in custody over alleged arson attack
A 37-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged arson attack.
Mark Howie, whose address was given on court papers as Damien House, Foyle Street, is charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
He is further charged with making a threat to kill and possessing cannabis.
The charges relate to an alleged incident in the Clarendon Street area.
An investigating officer told Derry Magistrate’s Court she believed she could connect the 37-year-old to the charges.
Defence solicitor George Copeland said his client would not be applying for bail at this time as there was no address available.
Howie was remanded in custody and will appear on court again, via videolink, on May 24.
