McLaughlin's Bogside home attacked

The Bogside home of Sinn Féin MLA Mitchel McLaughlin has been attacked.

The front window of the South Antrim MLA's home on Blucher Street was broken in the attack which is thought to have occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.

Mr McLaughlin, who represented Derry for many years before contesting and winning the North Antrim seat at the last Assembly election, was at home at the time of the attack and said he came downstairs to find the reinforced security window damaged.

The attack comes after the appearance of anti-Sinn Fin graffiti throughout the Bogside.
