Three men arrested after the discovery of four live mortars in Derry remain in custody this morning.

Police have today issued an appeal for information about the discovery.

They say they are keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed a white Citroen Berlingo Van, Registration Number 99D 88526 and a black Honda CBR motorcycle, Registration number LIB 3341 in the Brandywell area of the city.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on on 0845 600 8000 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
