Moville Garden Fete

A garden fete will be held in the Moville Presbyterian Church grounds on Saturday 16th August starting at 2pm. The church will be open to the public. The glamorous Granny and Handsome Grandad competition will commence at 3pm. Usual stalls will be available, cakes, plants, books, bric-a-brac, games, tea and even a bouncy castle, plus many more novelties. Music by Capricorn, admission 2 euro (children under 12 are free). All proceeds in aid of the proposed hall building fund.

The Moville Tidy Town committee have called on all residents in the Moville and surrounding areas to get involved in this year's National Summer Clean which will take place on Saturday 16 August and 30 August. Once again the clean up kits will contain colour coded bags, gloves, pickers and skips will be provided. All volunteers of all ages are welcome, residents and visitors, meeting up in the car park at the Green at 10.30am. Clean-ups will be held every two weeks throughout the summer.

Winning numbers in the Moville Celtic FC draw were 8, 15, 21 and 23. No jackpot winner. 20 euro draw winners - Roberts and Louise Doyle c/o Trawlerman's; Claire McClenaghan, c/o Rawdon's; Robert McLaughlin, Gleneely. Next week's jackpot 1,525 euro. Draw will take place in Rosato's on Sunday 3rd July 08.

Moville Celtic FC Night at the Races in the Corner bar on Friday 1st August. Come along for a flutter, first race begins at 9.30pm. Annual sports day in the Bayfield on Sunday 17th August.

Names are being taken for a FETAC Level 6 Train the Trainer module which will be commencing in Serenity House, Moville in September 08. This course is for new or inexperienced trainers who want to learn practical skills and useful tips to run their own successful training sessions. This course is also ideal for further and higher education professionals. Participants will gain skills and knowledge about the running of a successful training programme. The course gives the participant an understanding how people learn, strategies to motivate learners in a positive and inclusive environment, communication skills for training delivery and facilitation, practical training methods and structures for effective training.

Serenity House, Moville is organising a trip to Westport from the 21 to 27 September staying at the Castle Court Hotel. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. For further information contact Serenity House on 9382945.

Serenity House will be holding their annual Art and Craft Exhibition in Serenity House, Moville on the Sunday 3 and Monday 4 August from 12pm to 5pm. Admission is free. Why not come along and see what you also could achieve under the tuition of your expert tutors.

Clonmany 5K and Juvenile 1 mile road race will take place on Friday 8th August at 7.30pm. Juvenile athletes must be between 11 and 16 years of age on the day of the race. Fusion Teen Disco will take place in the Plaza, Buncrana every Friday night from 9pm to 11.30pm for under 16s. Moville Fire Brigade annual car wash for the Hospice at the Fire Station on Saturday 2nd August from 12pm to 5pm. Please support this worthy cause.

The Greencastle resource centre committee members will be distributing Time Capsules envelopes, which must be returned before 31st August.
