MP welcomes new City of Culture appointment

The appointment of a new Project Director for Derry’s Culture Company has been welcomed by the city’s MP.

Mark Durkan says the appointment of Dermot McLaughlin, seconded from his role as head of Dublin’s Temple Bar Cultural Trust, “is a good addition to the civic team for this important year.”

“I would like to wish Dermot the very best in his new role, which I am sure he will find both challenging and exciting.

“Dermot brings a valuable range of skills and wide experience to his new position. As someone who hails from Derry, I have no doubts he will put those talents to good use on behalf of the people of this city,” Mr Durkan says.
