Nadine takes part in death defying car ride

Derry singer Nadine Coyle has emerged unscathed after taking part in a dangerous stunt with celebrity illusionist Keith Barry on ITV at the weekend.

The Girls Aloud star took part in 'Blind Drive,' one of the most dangerous stunts ever witnessed on television.

Viewers saw a blindfolded Barry driving a car at break-neck speed whilst Nadine acted as his eyes.

The Derry woman was the only person that could see the sharp bends and oncoming traffic ahead on the perilous Beachy Head route, near Eastbourne in England.

Nadine squealed in fear as the car careered around the winding roads at 90 mph and by the end of the trip had her eyes tightly shut hoping to wake up from her nightmare.

Thankfully, Keith Barry proved himself to be as good as all the hype suggested and successfully and safely completed the route.

Nadine's appearance on the show was part of a whirlwind of press and TV engagements by Girls Aloud over the festive season, including stints on the Graham Norton Show and the Friday Night Project.

Girls Aloud will play the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on Saturday, May 3, Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5.

The shows, their only concerts in Ireland, will kick off their 2008 Tangled Up tour.
