New chief in place for Roe Valley Chamber

Limavady borough businesses were given a "much needed shot in the arm" as Roe Valley Chamber of Trade and Commerce unveiled their new vision for 2010.

The exciting and ambitious new vision was revealed at their Annual General Meeting, which was held last Tuesday in the Drummond Hotel. At the AGM a new Council were appointed, with Julie Brolly elected as Chamber President and Jim Peoples as Vice President.

Speaking after the AGM Julie said, “We have a number of new and exciting initiatives in the pipeline to boost the local economy and to help members to grow and develop their businesses.”

“As well as representing the needs of local Member businesses and lobbying on their behalf, the Roe Valley Chamber offers local businesses much more.”

“We’re organising monthly networking meetings which will be hosted throughout the borough, and we’re encouraging local businesses from all over Roe Valley to attend, hopefully helping them to develop business relationships and referrals.”

“We’re also planning a number of other networking events for key business sectors and clusters, and we’re also scheduling to take businesses on a number of trade missions throughout the UK and Ireland, and possibly into mainland Europe and the US.”

“The Chamber is open to all businesses active in the Roe Valley area from all business sectors. We’re keen to attract new members from throughout the borough, in particular ambitious entrepreneurs and businesses who are keen to grow and to participate in networking and events.”

Julie added, “At the Annual General Meeting we elected new members and new blood to the Chamber Council, and we’re open to new ideas to help make the Roe Valley Chamber one of the most innovative and forward thinking chambers in Northern Ireland.”
