The “North Derry Republican Group” have claimed responsibility for a gun attack on a house in Dungiven last week.

In a telephone statement to the ‘Derry Journal’ this afternoon, the group said it used a shotgun in the incident at Rannyglass last Wednesday at around 9pm. No-one was injured in the attack during which windows at the front of the two-storey dwelling were blasted with gunshots.

In their statement, the group said they were not giving a reason why the house was targeted.
