Police appeal after suspicious approach to children

Police in Derry are appealing for witnesses after a man made a “suspicious approach” to three children in the Glen area of the city.

A PSNI spokeswoman says the incident happened at around 4pm yesterday (June 12) at Glenview Avenue.

“At around 4pm as three children were playing in the street, a man approached them who was driving a black coloured vehicle. It is believed the vehicle had a taxi sign on the roof and the man is described as being middle aged, with grey hair and was wearing a blue shirt and black trousers.”

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, saw the vehicle in the area or has any information is asked to contact Police at Strand Road on 0845 600 8000 or call Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
